BolognaFiere has created Gate, a website devoted to on-line registration of personnel and vehicles operating in the Exhibition Centre, to manage information regarding the safety of activities conducted in the Centre.

The website is for use by all companies that prepare exhibitions in the Centre, such as organizers, exhibitors, fitters, and forwarders, with the aim of:

• controlling access to the Centre and managing the issuance of passes for people and vehicles

• informing such companies about activities under way in the Centre and about risk levels

• publishing all safety documentation (for example, the "D.U.V.R.I.")

• recording access by outside personnel and their vehicles

• checking how long vehicles remain in the Centre
